Nurse and traveller!

Nursing life.

I qualified as a paediatric nurse in 2006 and started my first job in January 2007. I was told by many people that my first job should be working on a paediatric ward, however , I knew after my placement on a neonatal unit, that that was were my interest really was. So despite all the advice, I took my first job on a special care baby until in Bury, and I’ve never looked back since! I love being a neonatal nurse and I am surprised daily by these amazing babies!

I now have many years experience working in this speciality and I hope to share my knowledge and experience with junior nurses and midwives all over the world.

Time to see the world!

Ever since I was a child I have said I want to travel the world and visit every country! Not sure I will manage every country but I am making my way around! From holidays to working abroad, I have seen some amazing places so far and cant wait to see more!

I’ve also been lucky to mix work and travelling together. I’ve worked as a maternity nurse, english teacher, children’s rep and also supporting and training nurses and midwives in Africa and India. I hope to continue to support and improve the care of infants around the world.
